Rev. Danny Gulden began as the Senior Minister of Carmel Christian Church in November, 2008. Before coming to CCC, Danny served at Sandy Springs Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Atlanta, GA, as Associate Minister, working primarily with youth and young adults. Danny believes strongly in mission, having led groups to Tijuana, Mexico, to build homes; traveling to Andros, Bahamas, for Vacation Bible School; traveling to Bosnia, and leading Camp Balaam, a summer church camp experience for children in need. He has been a camp director, counselor, keynoter, and loves speaking to groups about how God is present and active in their lives. Danny's passions for ministry include preaching, creative and meaningful worhsip, relationship building, mission and justice, and church growth. Danny holds a Masters of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University.

What is your favorite book, movie and television show?
Favorite book is anything by Anne Lamott and the Harry Potter series (I guess that's two),
favorite movie is A Time to Kill, based on the book by John Grisham,
and favorite TV show is The Amazing Race, The Mentalist, and Georgia Bulldogs football. (I guess that's three.)
What is your biggest challenge that you face?
Probably learning to slow down and be patient.
What is your favorite book of The Bible?
The Gospel of Luke
What do you love about serving at CCC?
I love the openness of the people here. This is really a community of faith that is open to
new people, new ideas, and new ways of being a church.
